In June of 2012, I was thrilled to obtain my Amateur Extra Class ham radio license issued by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, call sign AG6OE.

AG Call sign prefix, operator has an Amateur Extra class license. “AA-AL” and “KA-KZ” prefixes designated by the U.S. International Telecommunication Union.
6 The number 6 is the geographic region where the operator was licensed, operator is in the FCC’s 6th district, primarily California.
OE Call sign suffix is the individual operator.
