If I was looking for a great charity to support, I would look no further than 261 Fearless Club Los Angeles!
We have been together since January 2020 and have thrived, despite covid lockdowns and Pasadena wildfires. We have met weekly through all kinds of weather. We have always warmly welcomed people of all abilities and backgrounds to join our team. We have supported each other every step of the way, from walking to running to competing in the California State Senior Olympics and the National Senior Olympics. Our members range from beginners to State and National Gold Medalists and Wold Class competitors.
We are here and plan to remain here for our remaining days. We are a lifestyle and a permanent commitment.
Your kind and generous financial backing can greatly boost us in pursuing our goal of reaching people everywhere to get out there and move. Every cent you give us will go to buying team shirts, covering the enormous cost of insurance, entering competitions and helping us keep on reaching out to boost the health and independence of people everywhere.
I thank you in advance for considering 261 Fearless Club Los Angeles as your charity of first choice.

My last marathon was in 2019, before the covid lockdowns. My long distance training and hopes for earning the https://www.worldmarathonmajors.com/stars 6 Stars Abbott World Marathon Majors came to an end with those dark days. I lost 4 of the good years I had left to achieve this challenge.
Still, I wondered if I might have another marathon in me, at the age of 74. My inspiration came from the beautiful people associated with the Every Woman’s Marathon https://everywomansmarathon.com and the rallying cry of Kathrine Switzer, Marathon Woman, to “Seize the opportunity!“
Today ended my 3rd week of marathon training, a 10-mile long run. I was unsure if I could accomplish this, but looked forward to giving it a try. I am happy and grateful that I made it. Next week’s long run is a cut-back to 8 miles, and then a drive back up. Thank you in advance for any prayers and best wishes you can send my way.
Also, If you would like to support our 261 Fearless Club Los Angeles, I would greatly appreciate any help you can give to purchase team shirts and pay the heavy cost of insuring the club. Please know that every cent donated at https://www.gofundme.com/f/fundraiser-for-261-fearless-club-los-angeles goes directly to 261 Fearless Club Los Angeles.
261 Fearless Club Los Angeles enjoyed a brisk 3-mile hike up to the lower Arroyo Park area of Pasadena. We learned, planned, and enjoyed the cool summer morning together.
261 Fearless Club Los Angeles meets on Saturdays at 9:00 am at the Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E Holly St, Pasadena, CA 91103. We warmly invite you, your family and friends to share your Saturday mornings with us. The more, the merrier!
Ken and I are happy to let you know that we had a terrific time in Des Moines. We are looking forward to qualifying for Tulsa!
We made so many new friends and strengthened our bonds with those whom we have known for years. The officials and volunteers were helpful and supportive. I competed in all 7 track events and Ken competed in all but the 1500m, due to low blood pressure.
We were richly blessed to organize a Women’s and a Men’s 4×100 Relay team. Ken’s team won the Gold for California and my team won the Silver for California. Barbados took the Gold. All 50 states were represented, as well as 12 countries. These truly are World/International Games.
